Passenger statistics

The diagrams show the SFvJ traffic during 15 years. During 31 days of traffic 7821 passengers boarded the trains in 2011, which is increase of 5 % compared to 2010. The increased is coursed by more passengers on the ordinary trains since the number of passengers on special trains as decreased. The average number of passengers pr. day covers a range from only 78 a day to 641 a day (ordinary trains)  On Thursdays in July an August the ordinary trains were quite full with an average of 417 passengers/day. Sunday trains had only 287 passengers/day. On average days with ordinary trains had 349 passengers, while the average for special trains is 98. Special trains run at a fixed price, and the number of passengers has almost no influence on the profit. Overall SFvJ never previously carried as many passengers per. day of traffic as in 2011.

Train kilometres

The diagram shows the total distance travelled by SFvJ's locomotives and carriages during 15 years. The numbers include ordinary trains, special trains, work trains and moving empty stock. The large number in 1997 is due to several trains between Faaborg and Odense. After a big drop in 2006 due to extensive track works in Faaborg and reduced train service the number of train kilometres are again back to the "normal" level. In 2011 the total train kilometres were 5885 which is a 12.5 % less than the 2010. The reason for this is shorter passenger trains, since work trains have run a longer distance compared to 2010.
