SFvJ's OKMJ J 81 is equipped with an electric
lift allowing walking-impaired passengers or passengers in wheelchairs
access to the heritage train avoiding the high steps of the ordinary
passenger carriages.
The electric lift can be used at the stations
in Faaborg and Korinth (also possible in Katterød but the access to and
from the platform is rather difficult). The lift cannot be used at the
other stations because of the position of the platforms.
The use of the
electric lift is covered by the price of an ordinary ticket, but
passengers in wheelchairs are kindly asked to buy their tickets 30
minutes before departure. This will allow the train staff time to
rearrange the interior of the carriage to make room for a maximum of
four wheelchairs.
The carriage has
wooden benches for 34 ordinary seats or 18 ordinary seats and 4
wheelchairs. |
